Twenty Flight Rock

Twenty Flight Rock has been performing 50's & 60'S Rock & Roll for the last 14 years at various venues around Adelaide and Country areas.

Twenty Flight Rock has enjoyed a stable line up over this time with an emphasis on 3 and 4 part harmonies backed by a solid musical unit. As well as regular appearances at local hotel venues and many private functions, the band has performed at Rock & Roll Festival's for various clubs over many years and as a support to interstate acts and local tribute shows.

Our repertoire has drawn on the influences of many artists from the 50's & 60's and incorporates the music styles that were popular during this era - Rock & Roll, Country, Rockabilly, Doo Wop, Ballads and more.

Bobby Dee & the Decibells

Bobby Dee & The Decibells are all about those "Happy Days" when "Teen Idols" ruled the airwaves. Using the classic 50's Rock n Roll instrumentation of Guitar, Piano & Saxophone along with the smooth vocals of Bob Doherty and Billy Orr out front, Adelaide's new dance band is sure to have Rock n Rollers boppin' away on dance floors in their favourite pubs& clubs.

Bob Doherty, the popular vocalist from Good Company stars as Bobby Dee along with guitar legend Billy Orr on his red Stratocaster. Billy performed for many years with Johnny O'Keefe. On rock n roll Piano and Hammond Organ is Geoff Skewes, formerly of 60's national recording artists The Vibrants Playing Tenor Saxophone is the very talented Terry Benn who has worked in Sydney with American acts such as The Temptations and The Four Tops. Terry also played saxophone in concert with Australian rock icons The Angels.

Adding to the mix are the powerful rhythm section from Mack Brown Rox, Arthur Tucker on his '71 Fender Precision Bass and Rob Huxtable powering on his big, big Gretch drum kit.

The Silverados

The Silverados are one of Adelaide leading Rockabilly outfits and are strongly influenced by some of the traditional early 50's American rockabilly artists such as Carl Perkins, Eddie Cochran, Billy Lee Riley and Elvis Presley to the more modern day neo-rockabilly influences.

The Silverados have performed alongside many of Australia's top Rockabilly bands plus overseas artists such as The Go Getters (Sweden), Amber Foxx (USA), Phil Hayley and The Coments (UK) as well as Bill Hayley's daughter, Gina Hayley.

The Satellites

The Satellites’ musical influences stem from all forms of roots music including Country, Rhythm & Blues, Jazz, Swing, Western Swing, Rock n’ Roll, and of course Rockabilly adding their own unique flavour to come up with the rockin’est combo Adelaide has seen in years.

The Satellites live act is a show in it’s own right. Their performance is exceptional, with stage antics & an exuberant spontaneity that makes their live shows an unforgettable experience.

East Texas

EAST TEXAS have developed their unique Rockabilly sound from Country, Swing, Western Swing and Rock n' Roll. Their intricate "hot-rodding" of old standard tunes and carefully crafted originals bring a breath of fresh air to the Australian scene. Souped-up, stripped-down, fuel injected and rebadged Rockabilly like you've never heard before!

The EAST TEXAS stage show is an event not to be missed. Colour, costume and three lead singers create an unforgettable show.

The complete package, these guys (and a girl) have pulled off a six-date tour in the heartland of Americana music in Texas and Louisiana. (August 2014). Other recent shows include Semaphore Music Festivals, The Port Rocks Festival, Kangaroo Island Music Festival, Adelaide Rock 'n' Roll Festival(Sunnybrae) and Adelaide Fringe Festivals. Not to mention, successful pub gigs at The Governor Hindmarsh, The Gaslight Tavern and Port Adelaide venues, and Lucky 13 Garage (Vic).

TJ and the Twin Spinners

TJ and the Twinspinners are from Port Pirie, South Australia who were formed in late 2002 until early 2010 and have now recently reformed in 2013.

They play the style of music from the 50's Rockabilly/Rock 'n' Roll era, musical influences include 50's to current Rockabilly, 50's Rock 'n' Roll - such artists as Elvis, Buddy, Shakin' Stevens, Stray Cats, Johnny Burnette, Eddie Cochran and many more, too numerous to list.

THE SHAKERS are an Adelaide based band who re-live the great sounds and fun times of the 50's through to 80's era. With four main vocalists and up to 4 part harmony, a very wide range of songs (including some originals) are covered during a single performance.

Just some of the artists we pay tribute to are: The Beatles, Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison, Shakin Stevens, Carl Perkins, Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, ELO, Cold Chisel, Del Shannon, Bill Haley, Stray Cats, Elton John, Everley Bros, The Four Seasons, Dire Straits, Eric Clapton & the list goes on.

We pay special attention to ensure that all our songs are danceable, so a good time is guaranteed. Each member holds over 30 year's music performance experience so professionalism is paramount to us. Come and enjoy our style of music. You wont be disappointed with THE SHAKERS.

The Lincolns

The Lincolns are an Adelaide based 4 piece Teddy Boy Rock n Roll band who play a mix of High Energy Rock n Roll and Rockabilly classics with their own unique style and sound.

Dressed in their drape coats, drainpipe trousers and creepers, the Lincolns punch the songs out with the same enthusiasm, style, and energy as they were played when things were really kicking off in the fabulous fifties. They are guaranteed to keep you bopping the night away!

The Pumpin Piano Cats

Originally formed back in the 80's as a support act . The P.P. Cats played the live music scene in Adelaide and Sydney with much success .

This year 2014 the band reformed with a new line up. Front man Johnny black with many years of experience and his exceptional vocal and piano skills, teamed up with some of Adelaide's finest Rock n Roll and Rockabilly musicians to bring you the sounds of the 50's with the style of the greatest piano player of the era Jerry Lee Lewis . Johnny Black is also a talented Double Bass player with the Rockabilly band " East Texas " who have just returned from touring the USA.

On lead guitar we have the talented Peter Poropat with many years experience in various bands around Adelaide including Rockabilly band " Salvy and the Hired Help" he brings the original sounds of the 50's using the famous Gretsch Guitar made famous by the likes of Eddie Cochran and Brian Setzer.

Coming from well known bands like The Saucermen and The Jam Jets, is Frank Macri on the bass with more than twenty years of rock & roll and Rockabilly experience he brings the 50's sound on stage using the latest Dipinto Belvedere bass and equipment.

On drums is DJ Jess Mallia who is mostly known as one of Adelaide's leading rock & roll DJs but not common knowledge that he is also a talented drummer with over fifteen years experience.

Special feature this year we have Little Max Mallia, at 5 years old he is no stranger to the stage . He is the son of Rock n roll DJ jess and made his first appearance at the Victor Harbor Rock n Roll festival at the age of three singing Rock Around The Clock . Now with a little bit more experience he still loves Rock n roll and is looking forward to joining the Pumpin Piano Cats on stage once again for a couple of songs.

Come and join us and take a leap back to the 50'. These popular tunes will definitely suit all generations and take you back to an era everyone can enjoy .

Customlines

The Customlines play a form of jump, swing blues from artists such as Little Walter, Ike Turner, Nat King Cole, The Faboulus Thunderbirds, and many more.

The band is made up of Trev Gliesert - guitar and vocals; Nathon Dawson - harmonica and vocals; Jacob Bain - upright and electric bass, and Trev Drake - drums and vocals.

The Customlines were formed in 1996 and have been playing the Adelaide and Country Pub and Club circuit as well as private and corporate shows. Their style of music appeals to both young and older audiences and is very danceable. We love the style of music we play and our aim is to entertain and to get our audiences to have a swinging good time as well as have a good time ourselves.

The Memphis Suns are a Vintage/Retro inspired 3 piece Rockabilly band with influences from (naturally) Elvis, Glen Glenn, Bill Hayley, Chuck Berry and more.

If you’re passionate about 50's and 60's music you'll be in jukebox heaven listening to the sounds of Rave-On. We play the hits of the 50s & 60s in a truly authentic style...and the crowds just keep on coming!

Over the past few years Rave-On have been entertaining audiences at Rock'n'Roll venues, corporate functions and reception centres all around Australia  and beyond!
