The band takes danceable tempos from classic rock n roll and swing, then elevates the listener and dancer through the sheer energy of their performance. |

Lucky Seven
What started as a predominantly swing band doing Sinatra, Crosby, Martin and Prima standard tunes or the more contemporary Royal Crown Review, they were quick to expand their repertoire with strains of jazz, roots rock ‘n’ roll and rockabilly.
Comprising vocals, drums, upright bass, guitar, trumpet, alto saxophone, tenor saxophone and baritone saxophone. Complementary to the music is their garb ‘a la gangster’. Just like Elliot Ness in looks, musically these cats are untouchable. |

Belvederes
One of the younger Rock & Roll cover bands to hit the Adelaide music scene was established back in 2005 featuring some of Adelaide’s best rock & roll, rockabilly and swing musicians.
These include the exceptional vocal and piano playing abilities of Jason Mallia who also fronts Adelaide’s number one swing band Lucky Seven.
Also a member of the Lucky Seven fame is Dean Barcello on lead guitar. He brings his excellent guitar playing skills to The Belvederes to complete the most authentic sound of the 1950s.
Coming from well known bands like The Saucermen and The Jam Jets, is Frank Macri on the double bass with more than twenty years of rock & roll experience.
On drums is DJ Jess Mallia who is mostly known as one of Adelaide’s leading rock & roll DJs but not common knowledge that he is also a talented drummer with over fifteen years experience.
A special feature with The Belvederes is the vocal talent of Stacey Saliba who has been singing the well known tunes of Connie Francis and Wanda Jackson around the Adelaide music scene for as long as we can remember.
Come and listen to the traditional dancing sounds of the 1950s with covers from Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry, Bill Haley, etc. These popular tunes will definitely suit all generations and take you back to an era that everyone can enjoy! |

Sons of Sun
Adelaide’s longest surviving rockabilly band, “SONS OF SUN”, formed in the early nineties to celebrate the unique, stripped-back roots of rock ‘n’ roll produced in the now famous SUN studios in the early 1950’s in Memphis, Tennessee. This small studio was the launching pad for the recording careers of Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley and many more. It was here that those unique blends of country, blues, hillbilly, gospel and swing gave birth to rockabilly music, which in turn became the foundation of the rock ‘n’ roll we love today.
The “SONS OF SUN” musical style remains sincere to this simple rockabilly genre. The band takes pride in performing tunes from this era and from contemporary artists sympathetic to the sensibility of rockabilly, like Chris Isaak, Darrell Higham, Paul Ansell and bands such as GO CAT GO!.
For a devil of a good time, catch the irrepressible, “SONS OF SUN”. |
